Shinichi Tachibana is the son of Dr. Tachibana and the older brother of Sho Tachibana. He serves a similar purpose to Tatsuhito Saotome in the original series.
Appearance and Personality[]
Shinichi is a young man in his late twenties with an average height and build. While he respects his father as a parent and a scientist, Shinichi was displeased that he refused to use the Getter Robo Go to fight the Metal Beasts due to his pacifistic nature. Shinichi naturally saw this as cowardly and took matters into his and other people's hands.
Abilities[]
Shinichi is a competent pilot as one of the original candidates of the Getter. He managed to fight off a couple Metal Beasts with the robot until he was overpowered.
History[]
After Professor Lando had gone rogue and began his plans for world domination, Shinichi wanted to use the Getter to fight back since it was the only thing that had a chance against the Metal Beasts. He got into an argument with his father due to its intention of creation. With the Metal Beasts attacking, Shinichi piloted the Getter to fight them but fell in battle. The fight was finished by Go Ichimonji taking over control of the robot. His death influenced others including Go and Sho as well as Dr. Tachibana to upgrade the Getter to fight against the Metal Beasts.
